Here is my 2 cents ... I strongly recommend the DeafRead moderators to set up the new guidelines -- no insulting or bashing out to the others. It is okay to disagree or agree but make comments nicely. Please reconsider this. It is hurtful to all of us here. It has to be stopped. Thanks. Have a good evening.
Note: If anyone makes insults at anyone here will be removed. Peace!

Hi Diane ((hugs))
I could see the pain on your face. I totally understand your frustration with the negativity nowadays in DR. Just so hard to respond to some blogs/vlogs when one responds back with such ignorance.
By the way, please hug your sweet cat. Caught him/her massaging the blanket the same way as my Mosey does.
Hello, first of all, I saw your cat using your chair as scratch post! If you need a witness in trail, I am happy to volunteer. :D
Back to subject, I want to understand what you said. You mean you want DR to improve guidelines to prevent a blog/vloggers post their page in deafread.com that insult/bashing another people or people as commenter insult/bashing other people's blog/vloggers' pages?
Diane,
Thank you for bring up about the incident on other blog/vlog. I really upset for my friendly blog/vlog are suppose to be friendly and feedback with their efforted so much as they can help each other.
I feel bad for ASLpride after I was angry someone that I am truely love the person who is he? All things they need to accept who he is..
Important to share and feedback with such a things! I agree with you about no insulted or bashing. I am suppose to stop them if ASLpride is not able to avaiable to answer.
I am really truely sorry about situation is not acceptable of insult each other. I knew someone is being nice to my dear friend, SeekGeo who is my part friendship meaning to him or anyone.
I am glad you brought up.

Hallelujah! I'm sooo thrilled someone is as seemingly disgusted and appalled as I am. Truly, thank you for posting this because I get irate looking at the deluge of defamatory remarks. I can't even bring myself to pull up the front page of DR for fear of what I will see. It is blatantly apparent that the comments and blogs written by these irresponsible and adolescent minded individuals are giving us a true and invariably sad reflection of themselves. May they seek help and may those who are the targets of this repulsive behavior, take the high road and see these remarks for what they are worth, NOTHING!!! Thank you for giving me a place to express my frustration and support for your position.

Hi Diane (((Hugs here too)))
I see in you, your hurt from reading other comments etc, how it has hurt you.
Diane - I dont think DeafRead has contol over the b/vloggers comments, it is the b/vloggers OWN resposibility to remove the nasty comments (or don't publish them!!)
Thanks for bringing this up!

Exactly -- The problem is some newcomers of DR are learning to use the vlog/blog -- may not aware of that they CAN remove the negative comments or not publish them if they wish. It is not ASLpride .. it is someone else who finally comes back from his long absenteeism.
ASLPride -- Meow - I didn't realize that my cat is behind me. If post their page, DR should improve the guidelines to prevent a nasty blog/vloggers who enjoy insulting to the anyone.
We can control their comments by not publishing them. Unfortunately some are new and not familiar with this.

Hi Diane,
Sorry to be off the mark, but I
watched your cute cat in the chair behind you. What was fascinating about the cat was that it treated the chair as if it were the piano! The cat hit the
keys rhymatically. Smile.
Then I support for guidelines to be improve to control the insult/bashing pages that aim to another people. As you said, "Civilized Argument" is very important for us to use it instead of simple childish mock in open viewer by blog/vloggers.
Diane, I agree with you and think about being nice to other.
I apprecticed of your blog to clarifity that It is not acceptable of harsh comment.
I read the guidelines under Deafread.com (#8) says Name Calling and Discrimination, Obviously they may violate the Code of Conduct. I may be wrong. Anyway, i read other different blogger own guidelines that was very interesting information, Some bloggers does not allowed No profanity or bad language and No personal attacks on other blogger or personal websites related to cyber-bully and abuse, harass, stalk or threaten and libelous, defamatory, etc.
Yes Diane, he's back and he's worse at it now. Bullying left and right. Trolling sites and he knows it. It's all an ego trip for him because he has far too much time on his hands because his own site is non-existent.
The very sad thing is that those v/bloggers are enabling him by allowing his derogatory posts remain.
DR as well allowed his sensationalism remain on front section whereas good journalism went on the extras.
Now this is how DR really needs to look within their guidelines before their "now-bullying" runs rampant.
Granted it is up to us to moderate ourselves however DR editors do need to do their jobs.
If all of us ignored the troll, odds are he will leave eventually.
And if it is really bad, you can always ban that person from your v/blog. If enough of us banned trolls from our v/blogs, things would change.
I'm not sure how to do it on blogger.com but it is easy to ban someone on wordpress.com .. if someone needs help with that, just let me know - leave a message in my about page on my site.
I also think we also have to consider the source of who is insulting. Is that person important? Most of the time, it is a nobody and that person is just insulting to make himself or herself feel better.
Give your cat a snuggle from us, by the way. :)
This is correct. The comment sections are in the control of the blog/vlog owner. DeafRead editors have no control over these comments. We recommend that the owners be proactive.
Keep in mind that the insults by the people actually reflect poorly on them, not on us. Best for us to ignore them, not reinforcing them by reacting emotionally to the comments designed to inflame us. The negative emotions, anger and bitterness, of these commenters show through their words. Having been hurt in the past, they want to hurt us. We can show them the healthy way of commenting by only allowing positive and constructive comments.
My another 2 cents again :) If anyone insults you by calling the names etc .. Just don't publish them BUT can copy and paste then forward it to the DeafRead moderators. We can't accept the verbal abuse from someone here over over again. That's my thought.
Keep getting the verbal abuses over over again is not acceptable here. Should be added to the guidelines of DR.
Hello there, Diane, I agree that all ppl should take the time to appreciate all other vloggers for their hard work on their site. I just did a vlog about that on my site, I was taught, if u have nothing good to say to someone then don't say it, or just say something good.
Diane,
DeafRead editors cannot do anything about the insulting comments. Only you can delete them.
We are responsible to print the post if it's deaf centric, push them to the extra if it isn't deaf-centric or doesn't meet the guidelines of DeafRead. All of us are volunteers with limited free time. It' not our job to be moderators of Deaf people, nor do we want to. Only the owners of the blogs/blogs are the moderators of the their comment sections.
Hello Diane
Really appreciate your throw worth 2 cent. I would like to see the list what are not suppose to write on comments like you mention on vlog in improper words. Myself i dont like someone say in negative but i want to see someone suggest positive improvement in comment instead throw in negative comment. Not like in Ebay!
Myself not comfortable that someone say Look OUT. that way is make vloggist put down."oppressor"
We rasied 6 kids not to be bullying to people.
