Bring your own pen and pad is your job

Please be sure to bring your own pen and pad with you. Cashiers don't understand you and even many hearing customers. Workers need to learn to be pleasent you and the rest -- no matter what. Many untrained and high turnovers always happen out there.

Completely agreed! My pencil is
my voice and my paper is my ear;
therefore, I carry PP with me all the time. Sometimes I find at
Starbucks some part-time clerks who are foreigners, so we always have fun making gestures.

Smile, you are correct to bring your pen and paper. I know it is hard to communicate to avoid arguement with person or abusive or whatever you names. I can related that similiar in the past. I have to carried thick paper and alot of pen to bring with you.

you can carried fanny pack or back pack to get out of your pen and paper.

Worthless to communicate and not friendly employer in fast service. Have you read about deaf blind woman sued few of fast service. because she cannot see menu is quiet different than the young boy. Take a worth to carry it everywhere you need. I know it is not easy and hassle. I complete understand that.

Next time you bring pen.. if no paper. you can write your skin on arm or hand palm, on your legs..
Find a sense of humor??

It is different than your vision is normal. Think to bring your pen and paper less than.. Deaf/Blind woman have hard time to vision. It is not being fair. They should have give her a menu with a brillie or point on menu if she carried specailist glasses or something she can carry for reading glasses. That's different.

I completely agree. When I loose my voice to a cold or flu, I alway use pen and paper so that I'm not straining and not hard on the other person to try to understand me.

Hi there,

I use the mini- white dry erase board. I carry it around with me all the time. It does save using pen and paper all the time, just use kleenex and wipe off the dry erase marker.

It's so easy to use it and works beautifully for me.

Tactile smile!
Patty

Yeah I do bring pen or paper sometimes but my children tend taking our pen or paper and used it up all.
So I tend finding little pint of pieces paper like tag paper flip over the back and use written on it.. sometimes pen are missing.. (sigh)
Cannot be promised everyday ensure make sure pen or papers are in our car all the times.
If no pen or paper around in my car, alternative ask cashier for pen or paper whatever... only the way.

Be try remember that , Just everyone are human being can be forgotten or else.. as long everyone are not perfect.

Of course Galaxy I agree with ya! We are human errors -- not a robot or a computerized person. Eh ehhe. Two weeks ago, I used my BB pager to order the food at the cashier and one of my friends was stunned. It is so clever. So easy! eh
