For Ruth - ASL Expo 2007
I agree with Ruthie in 110%. Cochlear Implants advertisement definitely triggers some of us. We had been oppressed by the teachers and parents who forced us to talk, wear hearing aid(s) and so on. I am sure some of us want to spend our time in the Deaf social events. CI advertisment should be at the Deaf/HH Health Fair or workshop. ASL is a true language for all of us. We want to be free from being oppressed in the hearing society. ASL must be cherished too! Happy ASL!

It is Steve Kittel that wants CI's money
There are more and more ASL deafies with CI implanted in them and they are still part of deaf world and use ASL. I personally don't see anything wrong with CI being in ASL Expo. The only problem with CI is when it is THE only option offered to new parents of a deaf child.

Well, many of us are CIed and I won't be surprised in a decade or so, at least 80% of us would be CIed. So it is time to stop battling against the windmill and start focusing on the benefits of ASL or any visual languages as the first, beneficial visual language (hearing babies thrive on ASL.)

its time to have asl and ci war ? should we put on protest against ci around by ci builds or their ci offices or at gally ground or where we can stand by to tell them stop production and media block ci to keep passing around the world now ?????
My niece has one herself when she was four years old that time i dont understand what ci stand for and she is now over 20 years old. What the more, her mother is hard hearing (deaf) and graduated from deaf school and she did not get one for herself why toward to our niece young FOUR YEARS OLD. Is that fair ? CI media is faking and brainwashing and running over people 's pocket (money) none one is micrale (magic) period.
